Brian Streit, PhD, Data Scientist
Brian Streit earned his PhD in mathematical physics from Baylor University. Brian was a respected university professor and researcher, having received multiple teaching awards and having spent several summers at the MSRI in Berkeley, before moving on to a career in industry.
He is an established engineer and mathematician, having both engineering and mathematical peer-reviewed publications. Brian served on the board of directors for the Orix Foundation, where he reviewed grant applications from and made site visits to charities in the DFW area. Brian is currently the director of data science at HMS, an industry leader in healthcare cost containment solutions.
Brian is a strategic and visionary leader in industry who has established multiple data science practices. When not building software himself, or building teams that build software, Brian enjoys spending time with family, doing home improvements, and being an automotive enthusiast.
